This building with a thrilling architecture exhibits its permanent collection, retracing the art history from 1950 to nowadays, but also hosts temporary exhibitions.

Until October 15th, discover the beautiful exhibition entitled “Ecole(s) de Nice” (“School(s) of Nice”), that you can continue in the Galerie des Ponchettes, at the Musée Masséna and at the 109. This will be a fascinating journey in the artistic Nice from the period 1947-1977 !

The Japanese architect Kenzo Tange imagined the building of the museum where India, South-East Asia, Japan and China meet through works from all ages. Discover a unique exhibition of naïve art from 18th century to nowadays. Called “naïve” because it doesn’t respect the classical rules in terms of perspective, dimensions, colours, etc., this art is an invitation to escape in the worlds of the painters exposed.

This museum is the result of the will of only one man : the Reverend Father Lemerre. He moved in this old mill in 1922 and recreated the interior of the end of the Middle Ages. You can admire works of religious art from the medieval period (from 14th to 17th century), as well as several common objects and furniture. It’s a true journey back in time !

Contrary to the site of Terra-Amata, which is focused on the prehistorical period, this museum settled between the arenas and the Roman baths exhibits daily objects of the inhabitants of “Cemenelum” (Cimiez), from 1100 BC until the Middle Ages.
